Tonbridge Bowling Club -Have a go at Bowls.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tonbridge Bowling Club is situated in a rural setting next to open country and sports fields. Our modern clubhouse is equipped with toilets, changing rooms, kitchen, bar and we have extensive car parking. We run a full program of competitive and social bowling throughout the year, new members are always welcome, and we run weekly taster sessions for both lawn and short mat bowls according to the season. When is the Club Open? The outdoor bowling season runs from late April to end September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However Tonbridge Bowling Club continues to function during the winter. \u00a0
Short Mat bowls is available in the clubhouse, on afternoons and evenings each week. There are social events each month during the winter (usually on Saturday evenings). A Dinner\/Dance is held annually at the end of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GIVE BOWLS A TRY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people having seen bowls competitions on TV, or maybe having stopped to watch a game in progress in their local park have at some time thought , \u201cI wouldn’t mind giving that a try\u201d.
Probably the number one reason you haven’t tried bowls yet is that it is considered by those not involved in the game to be a sport for the older folk. Bowls IS a great pastime for many older people, but it is also a great sport for all, including younger folk. The under 25 scene is flourishing both at County, National and International level, but for those of you just that bit older, it is a terrific way to keep your competitive spirit going when your more active days in cricket, football or tennis are coming to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to come along to the Club and have a look, please feel free at any time. You’ll find the club in use most evenings or Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. There is plenty of seating around the green for spectators\u2014after all, what could be more relaxing on a warm summer\u2019s afternoon than watching a game of bowls? \u00a0\u00a0Remember, visitors are welcome.If you would like to have some free lessons or become a member, just pick up a membership application from the Club, and have a word with any Club member .
Alternatively phone our Club Recruitment Officer, Craig Hazell on 07855 395721 for advice on lessons or how to apply<\/strong>. \u00a0For potential lawn or short mat bowlers and \u00a0new members, \u00a0free bowling lessons\/coaching sessions can be arranged (club bowls and equipment are available.). For Lawn Bowls on some afternoons, Thursday evenings, Sunday mornings or \u00a0at a time and day convenient to you. \u00a0For Short Mat some sessions are available on some mornings or afternoons. You will always find other bowlers prepared to offer guidance and encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
